How to Join a Collection of Clips into a Single Movie using MovieMerge+
Splicing a collection of movies together into a single container clip is a great way to get additional value out of your videos. MovieMerge+ provides a simple and effective solution for doing this.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Create a new MovieMerge+ project.
MovieMerge+ projects contain an ordered collection of movie file references. To create a project, click the Create New Project button on the Welcome Screen or select File > New from the menubar.
Step 2: Add movies to the playlist.
To add individual movies or a folder of movies, click the Import button on the toolbar or select File > Add Movies… from the menubar. You may also drag movies and folders from the Finder on to the Tray.
Step 3: Organize your movies.
Clips appear in the output movie in the same order that they appear in the Tray. To change the order, drag’n’drop items into the order you would like. To remove a movie from the Tray, swipe-left or select the item and press the delete key.
Step 4: Trim your movies, if needed.
By default, MovieMerge+ includes the entirety of each video in your output movie. To limit the portion of a clip used in the final result, select a movie and adjust the trim handles below the preview.
Step 5: Export.
To begin, click the Export button or select File > Export To Movie… from the menubar. The Save panel displayed will provides several settings that may be adjusted to customize the final movie output. To monitor the output’s progress click the Activity Monitor Button on the toolbar or select File > Show Activity Monitor from the menubar.
Step 6: Save your project.
MovieMerge+ projects are stored in a .splice file. To save a project, select the File > Save option from the menubar.
